Elizabeth Stone’s law practice has been diversified over the last 30+ years. She first clerked for two different County judges, the Governor of Vermont and was Assistant Counsel to the Environmental Hearing Board. Elizabeth then served four years as an Assistant Dauphin County Public Defender representing indigent clients in both felonies and misdemeanors, from Mental Health committments to Children and Youth hearings. She represented hundreds of juveniles charged with offenses.

In 1996, she moved into the private sector joining her father and brother in their law practice, Stone Lafaver & Shekletski in New Cumberland. Elizabeth’s knowledge and experience enabled her to advise and represent all different types of clients ranging from landlord/tenant, property, will and estates, mortgage foreclosures to general litigation.

Elizabeth is a a volunteer Mediator with the Neighborhood Dispute Settlement Services. She is also part of an exciting movement in Family law in which she is a trained Collaborative Divorce Attorney helping families move through divorce with peaceful resolution and mutual respect. She volunteers with the YMCA Youth and Government coachiing high school students to argue and win moot court cases before the Supreme Court. Elizabeth currently has her own general law practice in Camp Hill with a focus in custody, divorce, support and all other domestic issues. The Court has recently appointed her as a Chairman to hear Arbitration cases in Cumberland County.

Elizabeth grew up in New Cumberland, graduated from Cedar Cliff High School ’78, Franklin & Marshall ’82 and Vermont Law School ’90.
